Agree with you about the distribution of wealth in the game being unbalanced but I would say that this NY deal is a bit strange. We had the same thing when murdoch was supposed to be taking over, that we were going to be billions of pounds better off.
I just can't see what difference to MUFC or to English football this deal could posibly make. I really don't understand the thinking behind it.
You could just as easily point the finger at Ken Bates, charging 3750 for a season ticket, only 133 would bring in 500,000. Unbalanced indeed
: Not an anti Man Utd rant.....But more a question about responsibility and responsible behaviour by the rich clubs and the supposed guardians of the game
: A small club could die in 2 weeks time if it doesn't find 500,000..Meanwhile the coffers of all the top clubs are set to swell by another 1 billion minimum as the new TV deals kicks in.
: Don't come out with this "it's big business now and all about survival of the fittest" as an excuse to justify the insatiable greed of the big clubs.
: The wealthy do have a responsibility towards the welfare of those who cannot compete and in the name of sport, the FA, The Premiership and all those associated with the financial aspect of the game MUST find a better way to distribute resources equally.
