Thanks Dermot To widen the discussion, though to prove the "futility" of such comparison, I still to this day maintain that the best side ever that I have had the privilege of seeing was the Dinamo Tiblisi team of 1980-1983......They totally destroyed us, a very good West Ham team in 1981 at the Boleyn in 1981 in the ECWC, and the following year, annihilated Liverpool (comments please Andy), though the number of trophies won by them didn't reflect just how good they were (The USSR side for WC 1986 had 8 or 9 of that Tiblisi side in it as did Euro 1988)
