I agree here...
A) as stadia get bigger, it's harder to create a good atmosphere... you almost get a round of singing that is starting in one stand as it finishes in another... so it just fades to silence
B) as you get inundated with 'picnickers' who don't know the words to any of the songs and can only get their face out of their sandwiches for long enough to say 'Sit Down' things will never get better.
