We have to have a foreign manager now... I'm sorry, but we are so in the dark ages in this country. The same way foreign players are elevating the level the game is played at here, a foreign manager is needed to take our national game up. Think: Who was the last English manager to win a title in this country? Howard Wilkinson and we know he is not the man for the job. Aime Jacquet is my bet... he has been successful at all levels... Venables I can't see.. he had a very mediocre build up to Euro96 including a 1-0 over Hong Kong (hardly decisive!) and in Euro 96 we had 1 good result... the 4-1 over Holland... besides that it was a penalty shoot out with Spain and Germany, a 1-1 against Switzerland and a 2-0 against Scotland..hardly convincing again. There is not an English manager qualified to do the job... English football needs foreign influence right now. We have to put our xenophobic british attitude behind us and accept this as the only way to put our football back on track.
