How many managers, including Alex Ferguson, have successfully brought a team to cup winning honours in 19 months? Particularly in the full and unreleting glare of the press and public at large. Not many!!!! It is sad that Kevin Keegan has resigned after having been booed from the pitch at Wembley by the same people who only 18 months ago were proclaiming him to be the NEW MESSIAH of English Football. How fickle we English fans are!!!

There is now talk of appointing a foreigner as England manager. Rubbish. How many of those who booed Kevin on saturday would be happy to see a non-english manager (even worse a jock).
