i must admit lads i accept your point of veiw but dont you think that the club that finishes 5th in the league should take a uefa cup spot and have the worthington cup for teams outside the premiership? in recent years the final has usually included a team from the nationwide in the final. i think personally that the teams in the "premier" league have a tougher season playing against the best in the land and therefore the team that is consistant throughout the whole season and manages to finish 5th is more deserving of a uefa cup spot?
im more against the 3rd place team in the champions league dropping in to the uefa, and as a gooner i might sound contradictory, because the 2 finalists last year were both champions league drop outs. surely this makes the uefa cup a champions league losers cup? as david o'leary campaigned last year, if you go out of a competition you go out - not in to another runners up competition. something definately needs to be done about that.
