finally got hrough yesterday to be told that the only tickets left were the 42 pound ones, on top of that is the booking and handling charges making them about 44 quid each.
My main gripe about the new system is not so much the booking fee, although that pisses me off, but the fact that as Pete says, they have abandoned a perfectly good and simple system of applying for and distributing tickets with one that involves me sitting on the phone all fucking morning.
The removal of the loyalty points system so soon after introducing it is scandalous. I'll be honest, I've been to games that I wouldn't normally have gone to just to get the points and believe me some I wish I hadn't gone to, and got rewarded for it for the games gainst Scotland and Euro 2000,only now to recieve a nice newsletter informing me that the FA want to expand membership and encourage more families, i.e. less lads in their twenties and thirties who like a few beers and sing at a football ground, how old fashioned.
Still what do you expect of an organisation that can't even build a football stadium. Wankers the lot of them.
It all smacks of New FA - as in New Labour, has anyone else noticed that crozier looks just like Mandelson?

The whole philosiphy of the members club is to reward loyalty, now the 'goalposts' appear to have not just moved , but been uprooted by abandoning all the policies designed to encourage real 'fans' to join.When will the FA learn that by treating genuine fans with such disregard is only playing directly into the hands of the so called undesirables, by making a vast majority of tickets available to everyone apart from those who have shown loyalty & spent a lot of money travelling to such places as Warsaw, Tirana & Helsinki over the years, only to be told "oh by the way, were not bothering with that system anymore, instead here is the number for the 'great Anfield & Villa Park Lotteries'oh and also were going to charge you even more if your mug enough to get through"
