Its time to get this thing organised what with the PL etc. trying to get stands shut down when people stand. Read the message below about how the German clubs have safe standing areas then email [email protected] asking why the governemnt won't give us what we want and are instead putting safety at risk by not accomodating supporters in properly designed areas. Also write to as many newspapers etc. as you can making sure you say what we want is MODERN, SAFE standing/seating sections that the German World Cup stadia will have , NOT old, crumbking terraces with perimeter fences. Today's telegraph article about stands being too steep for safe standing is rubbish as many of today's stadiums have seated sections that used to be terraces and it wouldn't be at all hard to reprofile these areas for safe standing areas. Fans WILL stand. It is the safety authorities job to make it as safe as possible to do so, not send in hired goons to kick out and ban supporters ad replace them with the prawn sarnie brigade. STAND UP IF YOU WANT TO STAND!
: Glad to see that both Liverpool and Man U fans agree on one point...that of the importance of the "safe standing" campaign! As a Leeds United fan I can assure you all that the campaign is gathering support at Elland Road and I'm confident that if we ALL work together on this,we just might get a result this time!! I can't think of anything else that could unite fans in this way...We all owe it to ourselves to drum up as much support as possible at our own clubs...There's massive untapped support at every club and we need everyone on board!! Ta very much fellas...
