: I only watch Liverpool on the box for away games. Apart from that, I've been to every league game (with my shiny-season ticket), I've been to the league cup game, I've been to both Euro games, I went to all the friendlies and I haven't missed a reserve team at anfield yet (Including the one where we STUFFED Jam U 4-2) : Apart from that I tend to watch most football teams - and have been impressed with how incredibly quiet 66,000 people can possibly be! : Well done - you must be very proud - even your own manager and players criticise the crowd at OT.. : I can't really say much more than that, can I? : :) : : The atmosphere at Old Trafford isn't as good as it could be but is still a lot better than most other premiership grounds. In the Sretford End last night many fans sung themselves hoarse, your fans can't even be bothered to turn up for european matches let alone sing. Too busy munching on burgers from the McDonald's Kop? : : Anyway, instead of petty point scoring why not do somethng to improve the crap atmosphere that exists in most premiership grounds? Or don't you care because you can make the crowd as noisy or as quiet as you like while you are sitting at home watching Liverpool on the box.. : : : : : Well, they do say that what turns around comes around.. : : : A charming fellow on this site by the name of Nick decided to slate Liverpool fans and called them an embarrassment.. : : : Going against normal traditions, I decided to watch Manchester United plc (c) (r) (tm) play at the Theatre of Dreams (c) (r) (tm) with their world class (c) (r) (tm) players playing class (c) (r) (tm) football in front of the Old Trafford Faithful (c) (r) (tm).. : : : Well, what can I say? This is the first time I have seen the mighty United (c) (r) (tm) this season and they were abysmal! I probably have not seen two teams so disinterested in a game since I watched Runcorn play Southport on a cold wednesday night about 6 years ago. Although the passing and running was better at the Runcorn match.. : : : The sound of the fans, well, after the slating of Liverpool fans, I naturally expected that the sound would be deafening.. : : : With some original chants of "united.. united.." and some more original chants of, er, "united.. united.." and the best saved til last some imaginative chants of "united united.." That covered about 3 minutes of the game. The deafining silence thereafter and between was awesome!! You couldn't even hear crisp packets rustling! : : : Which brings us to "keano" - he informs us that most fans turn up to eat their prawn sandwiches, don't get behind the team and aren't aware of how to spell the word "football", never mind understand what goes on on the pitch.. : : : It's what the rest of footballs' fans have been saying for years - it's nice to have it confirmed by a Manchester United player (who, after all, spends quite a lot of time in the silence of Old Trafford (c) (r) (tm)... : : : : : : Maybe ITV could try and turn the sound up a bit more next time, eh?
