Can't argue with the result 8-)
I agree that if they field some decent players, it's OK.
It's when a Man U or Liverpool or whatever fan who regularly goes to games turns up and says 'Never heard of any of 'em!!'
(Wouldn't happen to me though cos I go to all our reserve games too)
8-)
: : The FA has said that any club fielding a weakened team would be fined - Man U do it every year - and WHAT A SHOCK!! no fines..
: My response to this is probably much the same as Fergie's... define 'weakened team'
: Premiership football is a squad game now. With teams like United in 4 or 5 competitions, you have to decide which members of your squade are relevant for each game. You will always think you can play a leave some players out against certain teams and still get the points... for example our 'weakened' team that hammered Charlton (should we be fined for that?).
: With the team that we fielded tonight I would agree it's not our first team, but it's hardly weak... or shouod we be fined every time we field the likes of Fortune, Greening, and co. they've all played in Europe for us.
