I feel sorry for any manager who takes up the mantle of England Manager.
No matter how he does or what his hopes and dreams may be, he will be slated by the scum and villany that comprise todays press.
It is they that should look to themselves that they have once again built up and destroyed a decent, hardworking, geniune bloke who tried his best but needed time.
Who'd be an England manager with scum like the press about?
I certainly wouldn't - I'd like to see THEM do a better job - it's easy being a pundit - it's a bit more difficult to be an England manager (Especially with all the premadonnas we have masqerading as England players)
: I really don't think we need to worry about Wilkinson being installed as full-time manager. It is a worry though that with so many people missing for the game against Finland that Wilko may try some tactical variety which we know will not work... Why he tries to focus on performance with the U-21's is beyond me. In international football you only have the players for 5 days or so, you have to rely on their teams teaching how to play the game, and getting them together for the game is the international coaches job. Hence, Wilko's favourite saying: "it's not the result that matters, it's how we play" is a load of bull... God help us on Wednesday
